Grease

Rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong: this summed up youth, cool nights and parties for a whole generation. Thirty years ago, there were very few who didn’t know the opening of the theme song We Go Together, one of the numbers from the frothy-light movie Grease (let’s not kid ourselves, Grease does not represent any serious values in film history, nor was it a match in any way to works by its then competitors Lloyd Webber or Bernstein). Grease, directed by Randal Kleiser, is about non-stop partying and competing to look most cool. And love, of course. About whether we dare accept ourselves as we are: even if that meant sporting a daft haircut.
