János Tóth

According to his CV, the filmmaker who died in 2019 was a cameraman, but in reality he had an archaic, renaissance personality and, to use the expression of Vince Zalán, he was a true cinematographer. He left a deep imprint of his auteur personality on all his films. We showcase the work of the brilliant cinematographer who was involved with Szerelem (Love) and Macskajáték (Catsplay) through his own films and pieces jointly created with Zoltán Huszárik and Károly Makk. We attempt to decode the secrets of his art through a book presentation and in roundtable discussions.
