The Centre National de Cinema (CNC) archiving methods and system
The CNC financial support system for the digitization of French heritage cinematographic works has a triple objective:
- make XXth century cinematographic works accessible to the widest public in today's technologies and modes of diffusion,
- promote the enrichment of legal offers on the internet,
- ensure the preservation and transmission of this heritage for future generations.

He published books and articles on silent French cinema. His works include: Catalogue des Films français de fiction 1908-1918 (with Raymond Chirat), Cinémathèque française, 1995;; Eclair, un siècle de cinéma à Epinay-sur-Seine (with Laurent Billia), Calmann-Lévy, 1995; Camille de Morlhon, homme de cinéma (1862-1952), L'Harmattan, 1997; Jean-Pierre Mocky, BiFi Durante, 2000; Denise Bellon, La Martinière, 2004; Cinémathèques et Archives du Film, Armand Colin, 2013; A 58-68, retour sur une generation, co-writer, CNC, 2013.As the head of development for the Center National du Cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) in Paris, France, he works on the access, on the distribution and on the enrichment of collections. Member of the Fédération Internationale des Archives du Film (FIAF), President from 2011-2017. Previously he worked as an assistant director for Jean-Pierre Mocky before joining the Cinémathèque française. He was awarded the Simone Genevois Prize in 1995 for his doctoral thesis at Paris III.
