Event:
Hungary’s Catholics gathered for a three-day congress at the Budapest Vigadó as part of the 12th National Catholic General Assembly. Furthermore, more than 90 Catholic-affiliated assemblies were also held over the three days in the capital, which were visited by several thousand including almost 1000 priests.

Detailed programme of the general assembly:

“8 am on Sunday 9 November, Mass and Holy Communion for members of the general assembly by the Mária Congregations. 10.30 am, first public (celebratory) session. 2 pm, formal session of the Catholic People’s Association. 4.30 pm, German and Slovak sermon and worship, 5 pm Hungarian sermon and worship, followed by the Eucharistic procession around St. Stephen’s Basilica, 6 pm formal session of the Mária Congregations.

8 am Monday 10 November, Mass. Afternoon: sessions of societies, associations, organizations and institutions. 3 pm specialized section sessions. 4.30 pm second public session. 7.30 pm celebration of secondary school youth.

8 am Tuesday 11 November, Mass with Te Deum and blessing. Afternoon: continuation of sessions of specialized sections. 3 pm closed meeting. 5 pm third public session. 8 pm banquet.”
