The Film Archive at the Lumiére Film Festival, Lyon
The festival has been organized in the ‘birthplace’ of cinema, Lyon, since 2009. Directed by Bertrand Tavernier and Thierry Frémaux, it is the most significant European festival of classic films. This year, Hungarian film classics feature on the programme for the fourth occasion: after Tolonc (The Undesirable), Szegénylegények (The Round-Up) and Szerelem (Love), this year the focus is on Zoltán Fábri: Körhinta (Merry-Go-Round) is screened on 17 and 18 October 2017. The programme includes other Hungarian-related films, works by André de Toth and Géza Bolváry.
