Andor von Barsy

Andor von Barsy (1899-1965) was born in Budapest and educated in Germany as a photographer and filmmaker. He lived from 1927 to 1942 in the Netherlands and was there very influential as a photographer and as a camera operator working for a large number of Dutch film productions. His own films demonstrate his personal photographic style which is strongly influenced by New Objectivity (Neue Sachlichkeit) and the cinematic city symphonies from the 20s and 30s.
