Alain Bergala

Alain Bergala is an essayist, critic (Cahiers du cinema) (Université Paris 3, Femis), and film director.  He is the author of many books and articles about Rossellini, Godard, Kiarostami, Bunuel, Bergman...) He was the cinema advisor for the Plan “les arts à l’école” run by the Ministries of Education and Culture in 2002, and in this context he published L’Hypothese Cinema, with a set of proposals for developing film education. Now he is artistic advisor of the French international program of La Cinémathèque française : le Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse.
